Starting something new can be intimidating — but we've built a clear, supportive path to get you moving safely and confidently from day one.

Step One - Foundations

Before you step into a class or a workout, every new member completes our Foundations program — four dedicated 45-minute sessions, typically spread over two weeks. This isn't busywork. Foundations is all about learning the core mechanics that make CrossFit safe and effective. You'll work through the fundamental movements that form the backbone of everything we do:

Squats - Air Squat, Back Squat, Front Squat

Presses - Shoulder Press, Push Press, Snatch

Pulls - Dead Lift, Power Clean, Kettlebell Swing

You'll also learn fundamental gymnastics and bodyweight skills to build functional strength and body awareness:

Push-ups and ring rows

Pull-ups - and how to safely scale the movement with bands

Burpees and planks

Jumps, Box Jumps and Jump rope

Finally, you'll get familiar with all the equipment, the funny language that is used and how a basic class is organized:

Equipment: Barbells, Dumbells, Kettlebells, Medicine Balls, The Rig, Rowing Machine, Air Bike, etc.

Terminology: AMRAP, EMOM, MetCon, For Tiime

Class flow: Class brief, general warm-up, specific warm-up, workout of the day (WOD), cool down

Member App: using the app to reserve classes and track performance

Step Two - Choose Your Path

Once you've completed Foundations you have options based on your goals and comfort level:

CrossFit Class - most clients transition directly into classes working out alongside other members

Personal Training - some clients want more one-on-one coaching at a time that's convenient for them. Here you have the freedom to work on specific goals or skills.

Small Group Training - a middle ground. get extra coaching in a smaller setting.

If you're not sure how to proceed, your coach can help work through which path is right for you.

Joining Class - How A Class Is Organized

One of the biggest surprises for new members is how structured and coached our classes are.

Ever class starts with a daily brief - a few minutes where the coach gathers everyone in front of class. You'll start with a social warm-up to meet everyone in class and then the coach will walk through the WOD, the intent behind the workout, demonstrate scaling options for every movement, and suggest strategies for pacing.

Scaling isn't a shortcut — it's how every workout can be modified to match your current fitness level, mobility, or injury. It's a normal part of CrossFit — and one of the reasons it works so well for both beginners and experienced athletes alike. Our coaches will work with you over time to improve mechanics and progressively build toward full movements at full load, on your timeline.

The Best Part - The Community

The coaching matters. The workouts matter. But for many people, the community is the reason they show up and stay. When you walk through our doors, you'll meet people from all different backgrounds, ages and fitness levels, who share at least one thing in common - they are trying to improve themselves.

Expect to be cheered across the finish line on your first workout. Expect fist bumps, encouragement mid-rep, and coaches who remember your name and your goals. The culture here is one where everyone's success matters — including yours.
